A few years ago we had the pleasure of dealing with Michael Jones in his capacity as Project Manager when building our home.

Michael acted in a professional manner at all times and was always available for us to approach him with any and all enquiry. Macgregor Cricket Club (MCC) had secured a grant to build a storage shed. This was a huge achievement for the club, but Michael was determined to make the grant go much further than just a storage shed. Michael was instrumental and the driving force in the building of the clubs grandstand and clubhouse. MCC will be indebted to Michael for very many years to come.

Michael’s enthusiasm for both sport and life is highly infectious. He motivates all around him both young and old and is able to communicate with all ages with ease. He has been a coach for many years and is highly regarded by both players and parents alike.

Michael is gregarious and driven. He is very much the ‘can do’ person. Nothing appears to daunt him and he faces every challenge head on.

We thought that we would summarise our experience to date in the construction of our new home being built by Bella Casa Constructions. Our decision to use Bella Casa Constructions for our home was largely because of our previous experience with Mike Jones when we built a home at Shailer Park that was completed in 2004.

At the time Mike was working with another building company, we were certainly having some problems (as was the Building Industry generally ) with a very disconnected and inexperienced building crew on our job until Mike took charge of our project and his involvement had an immediate impact. As a result we had our confidence restored and Mike steered us through the remainder of the building construction with a much more focused and professional approach to his client’s needs and expectations, the outcome was a wonderful home that met our expectations and desires.
His subsequent “after sales “ service to any problems was totally professional, responsive and effective. When we decided to build a new home we discussed our thoughts with several builders, it is fair to say that we were very disappointed to learn that Mike was leaving the Company and for that reason we were less likely to use them for this project. Nevertheless we made contact with Mike and we learned of his intention to commence his own construction company, Bella Casa Constructions.

We subsequently met with Mike to have a preliminary discussion on our design needs and to get a more deeper insight into Bella Casa and understand how Mike planned to position the Company and the market it would compete in.
Bella Casa Constructions ticked all the boxes in terms of our expectations and our preliminary discussions quickly gave us the confidence to form a relationship and commit to a building contract. This in no small way was due not only to Mike’s involvement, but also to the professional advice the design team gave us.
We had a totally enjoyable design phase highlighted by the professionalism of the Bella Casa team which resulted in a home design that captured our every need but also created a home of character that stood out as different to the offerings of many of the other builders. Our home is now at the stage of nearing “hand over “ having commenced in late September 2011.

We have been pleasantly surprised by speed of construction and the the thought of being in our new home much earlier than expected has thrilled us. We were certainly daunted at the initial thought of building a new home at our age but we are ecstatic with our decision to choose Mike and the wonderful team at Bella Casa. At every stage of contract documentation, costing, design, colour selection, engineering, plan lodgement and dealing with pool builders and dealing with any of our last minute changes we were met with a higher than expected level of cooperation, transparency and professionalism.

The involvement of Bella Casa’s supervisor (Matt Elkington) has been instrumental in achieving such a smooth construction period during which we have been kept totally informed of every aspect of the project. In particular we have been very impressed with his professionalism in making sure that we met every one of the tradesmen involved in the construction phase it is these initiatives that give you confidence in your building team. We are completely happy with our involvement with such a professional team as Bella Casa and are now about to see the culmination of our joint efforts with the completion of a high quality home that we can be justifiably proud of that will reflect the quality workmanship that Bella Casa Constructions can and does provide .

The process from start to finish has been smooth and hassle free due to the efficient supervision by Matt Elkington, who has an exemplary work ethic. Michael supervised and co-ordinated my extensive renovations from concept to plan to building construction. It was a logistically difficult job on a cliff, but he worked with me at each step and was a good listener. He encouraged my input and didn’t discourage any ideas. When there were problems, as there always are when building a house, matters were resolved in a constructive fashion with no tension and certainly no ill feeling. We always felt you were approachable and ready to listen to the very few number of concerns we had. Communication at all stages of the building was excellent and we knew exactly what was happening and why. Access to staff was always easy and questions were answered promptly, usually on the same day.

Over the past forty years we have built three houses and extensively renovated two. This building was certainly one of the most enjoyable experiences.
